What is the DofE Program and Why is it Important for Our Students?
The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award (DofE) is a prestigious global initiative designed to help young people develop key life skills and prepare them for future challenges. Our school is excited to join this program, which will be available from September to students from the 8th grade and all high school students.
What Are the Key Areas of the DofE Program?
The DofE program focuses on four key areas that allow students to achieve comprehensive personal growth:
- Volunteering: Supporting the community and developing social responsibility.
- Skills: Expanding knowledge and interests that will benefit students in both personal and professional life.
- Physical Recreation: Enhancing physical fitness and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
- Adventurous Journey: Stepping out of comfort zones and creating unforgettable experiences in nature.
Why Should Your Students Participate in the DofE Program?
Participating in the DofE program offers numerous benefits to students. It boosts their confidence, improves social skills, and helps them gain new experiences that can enhance their chances of being accepted into universities and securing employment. The DofE is recognized by many universities and employers around the world.
